QoL Patch 1
Hihihiiiii!!!! Moonburnt here, its time for the first update to this version of the game. I've tried to restrict this patch to be only quality-of-life-specific, but could not help myself and also added some changed here and there. So, without further ado, here is the list of changes:
Added:
- Weapons HUD. Now it should be clearly visible which weapon is selected at a given time, what weapons are available and so on.
- Background weapons reload. Because lets be honest - nobody will wait for a dozen of seconds without any action just to make a single slash with their katana, right?
- Trees on the map's sides. Well, that's one way to deal with the enemies appearing out of nowhere.
- Dummy spawn animation (unfortunately there will be no media for this one as itch does not allow for videos to be uploaded directly)
- Ability to restart the level from the game-over and pause menus, without the requirement to exit to main menu.
- Ability to pickup the ammunition. Meeting requirements to unlock a weapon if said weapon is already available will provide 1 to 3 full magazines of ammunition for that weapon, at random.
- Basic settings menu where you can set game's master volume and toggle the fps meter. Settings do not persist between game's sessions, for now.
Reworks:
- Enemy respawn logic. Moving enemies will spawn on map's sides regardless of the camera position (forcing them to spawn on the other side has affected the spawn rate). Dummies respawn from the ground even within the camera's view.
- Background and grass sprites redraw.
